We want to give a shout out to the La Farge student and staff participants of this year’s Viroqua Community Theater’s production of Mary Poppins. The show was a huge success and we would like to recognize the efforts of those involved. Dan Heitman, elementary support staff, played the role of Admiral Boom, Deb Michaels, elementary music/interventionist, played horn in the pit band, and sophomore Carissa Nemec was one of the members of 5*6*7*8 Dance who participated in numerous dance scenes. Congratulations to all of them on a “practically perfect” performance!
Miss Grainger will be hosting 4K Jumpstart August 19-21 from 8:30-11:00 for any incoming 4K students. Beau Sherrick traveled to Mason, MI this weekend to participate in Trap Nationals. Out of 1800 shooters at Nationals, Beau finished in 84th place today, so he moves on to the Championship today to compete against the top 400 shooters from yesterday!!
8th-12th Grade Music Families--Just a reminder of our practice tonight from 7-9 pm in the band room and our Concert in the Village Park, tomorrow, July 7th at 6 pm. Students should plan to be at school around 5:20 pm tomorrow and wear purple music shirts and black shorts.
There is a meal that will be served at the park starting at 5:00 pm. Any parents that are available to help serve and set-up please let Mrs. Fowell know, we will start setting up around 4:00 pm.
Also if each family could donate a pan or bars or batch of cookies for the meal that would be greatly appreciated.

Seven Spanish Club students and four adult chaperones just returned from a trip of a lifetime to Costa Rica with EF Tours!
Some of the highlights were whitewater rafting, ziplining, a crocodile boat tour, attending a folklore evening and cultural dance performance, swimming at the beach and in hot springs, an aerial tram tour of the rainforest canopy, hiking to the bottom of a waterfall, harvesting our own pineapples, learning the process for making chocolate from the cacao plant, spotting monkeys, sloths, macaws, toucans, iguanas, and other critters in their natural habitat, making new friends, trying new traditional foods, and experiencing the Costa Rican way of life firsthand.

La Farge National Honor Society Community Blood Drive is tomorrow Tuesday, June 24th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the La Farge Community Center. Walk-ins are welcome! We are 37 units away from reaching the next scholarship level for our seniors. Come see the NHS members during the drive. Each donor will receive a $15 gift card by email for donating.
This weekend, our high school boys basketball team had the amazing opportunity to play at the bubble in Reedsburg, and on the Final Four court from the 2015 NCCA tournament!
(That was the year Wisconsin beat Kentucky, ending their perfect season.) They had a great three days of basketball, experiencing success and continuing to learn and grow as a team.
This past week Gweny Walker participated in Badger Girls State. American Legion Auxiliary Badger Girls State (ALABGS), is a program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, and is a week-long government and leadership conference for young women in their junior year of high school. ALABGS is a practical civics conference that allows students to learn about state government by actively participating in it. Attendees of the program learned by doing as they became citizens of a mythical fifty-first state, the state of Badger, and functioned according to the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
Attention all BAND, FFA, HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL and HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL participants and parents, the 4th of July is quickly approaching and shifts are now available to work the inflatable and concessions! If you are in one or more of these activities you must sign up for two shifts but no more than two. Each student needs to be represented either by themselves or a family member. Due to a pool repair, there will be no swimming lessons on Tuesday, June 10th. Pick-up from summer school will be at 11:45 am that day. The rest of the week will be swimming lessons as normal.

La Farge National Honor Society hosted a La Farge NHS Fire & EMS 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 10, 2025. All the proceeds from the run/walk were donated to the La Farge Fire and EMS departments. The pictures are the presentation of the donations to La Farge Fire at their May 19th meeting and La Farge EMS at their May 28th meeting. We would like to thank everyone that supported our 5K and we are planning on having another one next year.
